What is a Forest Garden?
A forest garden is a specific and diverse selection of plants designed to function in the same way as a young forest. Its aim is oftentimes firstly ment to serve human needs. The relationships between the plants work towards mutual benefit, enhancing the chance of health of all life in the system including plants, insects, birds, and soil biota.
It can contain large and small trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs, root crops, climbers and mushrooms. They are planted in a way that optimizes the interaction between the plants and makes the garden self-sustaining.
Pruning Course
We will hold a course here at Holt Gård later this year. This will be the fourth time we have gone through the garden with Urs Gamper and pruned fruit trees and berry bushes.

Robin is the owner of Efferus Veksthus and is responsible for plant
breeding, sales and the development of the LAND center/demonstration
gardens at Holt Gård.
Robin is also available for consultation, site
visits and help with permaculture design.
If you need help with planning, design, soil coverage, fertilization, pruning, planting of plants, we can give you advice.
